tonight

Tonight is terriaki chicken thighs (trader joes soyaki), roasted brussel sprouts, and for the grain eaters, i.e kids, white rice. Kyle made a homemade spice cake with cream cheese frosting that is goin to take everything in my being not to eat!! Chad and I are going to the Bahamas in February so the low carb, primal diet is where we are at right now. Ugg. Love the cookies and cakes my kids make on an almost daily basis. Currently my freezer is home to peanut butter kiss cookies and cream puffs with chocolate custard. Killing me. I am doing good. A glass of red wine is waiting for me for the weekend.

Trying to eat more seasonally this year. Buy fresh from farmers markets and local farms and learn how about buying local meats. How to best prepare what is in season so my family will like it! I have a lot to learn, but have a decent knowledge base of healthy, balanced eating.
